Ducati 1198 Superbike

DUCATI 1198 SP

1198 SP

The 1198 SP replaces the 1198 S in the 2011 Ducati lineup. Featured upgrades to the SP are the addition of a slipper clutch and quick shifter as standard features, as well as an Ohlins TTX rear shock. These upgrades enhance a package that already includes the Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ducati Data Analyzer (DDA) systems.

But the biggest news with the 1198 SP is its cost – retailing for only $200 more than the 2010 S model it replaces. The TTX shock alone costs around $1400.

The Ducati 1198 SP is a Sport style motorcycle with an MSRP of $21,995 and is a Upgraded for 2011. Power is provided by a 4-Stroke, 1198.4cc, Liquid cooled, DOHC, Longitudinal Twin engine with Electric starter. The engine is paired with a 6-Speed Manual transmission and total fuel capacity is 4.8 gallons. The 1198 SP rides on Forged Aluminum wheels with a Pirelli(r) Diablo Supercorsa SP 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a Pirelli(r) Diablo Supercorsa SP 190/55 ZR17 rear tire. The front suspension is a Inverted Fork while the rear suspension is a Single Sided Swing Arm. Front Dual Hydraulic Disc brakes and rear Hydraulic Disc brakes provide for the stopping power. The 1198 SP comes standard with a Two-Piece, 2-passenger seating.
